Bradenton Marauders to Celebrate Star Wars, Snooty
The baseball team will celebrate the film franchise and the manatee's birthday.

BRADENTON, FL – A long time ago not too far, far away from McKechnie Field, Snooty the Manatee was brought to the South Florida Museum when he was 11 months old.
The Bradenton Marauders will honor Snooty the Manatee, who turned 68 years old this week, on Saturday, July 23 during their game against the Daytona Tortugas. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. with gates opening at 5 p.m.
The celebration also coincides with the Marauder’s Star Wars Night.
The Marauders players will wear Star Wars-themed jerseys, which will be auctioned off during the game. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the South Florida Museum’s Manatee Care Program.
Limited edition Snooty bobbleheads will be given out to the first 500 fans through the gates. The Snooty bobbleheads feature the manatee “standing” with a Marauder’s No. 68 jersey and a birthday party hat.
McKechnie Field is located at 1611 Ninth St. W. in Bradenton. The South Florida Museum is located at 201 10th ST. W. in Bradenton.
