Bus Carrying Students Hit Man Crossing Manatee Avenue: Police
A man was hit by a charter school bus while crossing Manatee Avenue Thursday morning, Bradenton police said.
BRADENTON, FL — A charter school bus carrying students hit a 59-year-old man crossing Manatee Avenue Thursday morning, according to a Bradenton Police Department news release.
The crash happened as the bus traveled west near 26th Street E. just after 6:30 a.m.
The man wasn’t in the crosswalk when he was hit by the bus, police said. Information about his condition hasn’t been released.

None of the students on the bus were injured in the incident and they were brought to school.
The crash shut down westbound Manatee Avenue from 6:45 to 7:30 a.m.
