Car Crashes Into Bradenton Home
A 26-year-old Bradenton woman was cited after her Mercury crashed into a home Thursday morning.

BRADENTON, FL — The people inside a 53rd Avenue East home in Bradenton had a rude awakening Thursday morning. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a Mercury crashed into their porch around 6:35 a.m.
The incident that led to the Jan. 5 crash began to unfold moments before as Mollie Marie Lyerly, 26, of Bradenton was heading west on 53rd Avenue East in the middle lane. Troopers say an unknown vehicle cut her off and she swerved to avoid a collision. When she did, she lost control of the Mercury, which hit a concrete median before driving southwest across three eastbound lanes.
Lyerly’s Mercury then struck a curb and a picket fence before hitting a concrete porch on a home in the 2100 block of 53rd Avenue East.
