BRADENTON, FL — As Tropical Storm Debby churns along Florida’s west coast Sunday, streets are flooding across St. Petersburg, police said in a news release.

Streets affected by the flooding, include:

  • Riverview Boulevard from 19th to 26th Streets West
  • 51st Street West from 9th to 18th Avenues West
  • 9th Street West from 9th to 17th Avenues West
  • Martin Luther King Avenue West from 14th to 18th Streets West
  • Virginia Drive from Manatee Avenue to 9th Avenue
  • Virginia Drive at 7th Avenue West
  • Riverview Boulevard between 21st and 26th Streets
  • Riverside Drive East from 2nd to 6th Streets East
  • Riverfront Boulevard near the Skate Park
  • 13th Avenue East between 19th Street Court East and 25th Street East

Drivers are asked to stay off the road and to not drive through flooded roadways, police said.

Debby will likely move slowly across the state Monday, produce rainfall totals of 6-18 inches over northern Florida through Friday morning, and cause flash, urban and river flooding, according to the National Weather Service.
