Clerk Cut During Bradenton Armed Robbery

Bradenton Police are looking for help identifying a man officers say robbed a store a knife point Thursday.

BRADENTON, FL — The Bradenton Police Department is asking for help identifying a man its officers say held up a store at knife point Thursday, leaving a female clerk suffering from minor injuries.

According to the agency, officers responded to the Little Country Store at 825 15th St. E. around 8:10 a.m. Dec. 15. Investigators learned that a man walked into the store and demanded money from the clerk. During the course of the robbery, the clerk was cut on her lip, an email from the agency said.

The victim, who is not being identified, was treated on the scene, police said.

Officers are now looking for a black male who stands about 6 feet tall in connection with the crime. He is described as being about 30 to 40 years old and has dark hair and some facial hair on his chin. The man was last seen wearing a black Chicago White Sox’s jacket, black jeans, black shoes and a black beanie.

After robbing the store, police say the man took off heading east on Martin Luther King Avenue East.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call Det. Eleazar Garcia at 941-932-9373. Anonymous tips worth a possible cash reward of up to $1,000 may also be submitted by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-866-634-8477.
