Coquina Beach Market: Manatee County Searching For Manager
Manatee County commissioners directed staff to start the bidding process for the management of the Coquina Beach Market for the 2023 season.

MANATEE COUNTY, FL — Manatee County commissioners at their Tuesday meeting directed staff to start the bidding process for the management of the Coquina Beach Market for the 2023 season and beyond.
Commissioners also reviewed details of the market’s new home on the south end of Coquina Beach at the meeting. Property management staff members shared a conceptual map of the site for the revamped beach market, according to a county news release.
The new outdoor site will offer space for about 80 artisans and vendors. Visitors can access the market using the beach trail, as well as the newly renovated South Coquina parking lot entrances.

Current plans call for a daytime market on Tuesdays and night-time market on Thursdays.
The Commissioners also approved $175,000 in improvements to help make the market more welcoming by providing lighting and electricity access. The space will also host future special events and occasions.
