Courtesy Cleaners Robbed at Knifepoint

The Manatee County Sheriff's office is looking for a man who used an 8-inch kitchen knife to rob a Courtesy Cleaners at 7 a.m. today in the 3400 block of Manatee Avenue West.

The suspect entered the Courtesy Cleaners and pulled out a 8-inch kitchen knife. Once the cash register was opened he removed the money from the drawers and then ran southbound on 35th Street West and then headed west on 7th Avenue West. No one was injured during the robbery.

The suspect is described as a white man, 6-foot-2 and about 180 pounds. He has a tattoo of a knife or dagger that runs from his left knee down to his ankle. He was wearing dark plaid shorts, a purple shirt and black hat.
