Detectives Arrest Man on Murder Charges
The man charged with murder in connection to a shooting last month also received a gunshot wound that night.

Manatee County Sheriff's detectives arrested a 26-year old man Friday on charges of murder in connection with a shooting death last month.
Daniel Roblado was charged in the July 23 shooting in the 900 block of 33rd Avenue East that killed Elvis Ruiz, 28. The shooting happened in the early morning hours at in the 900 block of 33rd Avenue East.
Just before 3 a.m. on July 23 deputies arrived at the scene of a shooting where both Roblado and Ruiz had been shot. Ruiz was inside the residence with serious injuries. Roblado was outside and received what appeared to be a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
Ruiz was taken to Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg, where he later died. Roblado was taken to , where he was treated and released.
Subsequent investigation revealed that the two shooting victims and several others were involved in a bar fight before the shooting and they were asked to leave the bar. According to the sheriff's report, witnesses told detectives that Roblado confronted Ruiz where they exchanged gunfire. While Ruiz was killed, Roblado was shot but not seriously injured.
