Driver Killed In 3-Vehicle Crash In Manatee: FL Highway Patrol
A driver trying to pass the car in front of him crashed into a car in Manatee County, Florida Highway Patrol said.
MANATEE COUNTY, FL — A driver was killed in a three-vehicle crash Thursday morning in Manatee County, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.
A 58-year-old Ruskin man was driving his car east on State Road 62, east of Duette Road, just after 7 a.m.
When he moved into the westbound lane to try to pass the car in front of him, he hit a truck traveling west in that lane, FHP said.

The crash caused the Ruskin man’s car to rotate and hit the side of the car he’d been behind in the eastbound lane.
