Illegal Drugs, Guns, Found In Bradenton Home

BRADENTON, FL — The Manatee County Sheriff's Office said Friday it confiscated cocaine, fentanyl and rock cocaine at a home in Bradenton earlier in the week.

The sheriff's office said deputies also confiscated two firearms, numerous rounds of ammunition, and drug paraphernalia, including a scale.

Two men — 26-year-old Dontay Henderson and 27-year-old Kyon Davis — were taken into custody, according to the sheriff's office.

"During the month of May 2019, while working in an undercover capacity detectives purchased fentanyl from Henderson on several occasions," according to the sheriff's office. "Following these purchases, two arrest warrants were obtained and through investigative means more fentanyl was purchased from Henderson at 1831 13th Ave. E. Bradenton."

Henderson was arrested by SWAT officers Tuesday as he left a restaurant, where he was accompanied by Davis and two women.

The sheriff's office said Davis was taken into custody on four outstanding warrants. Investigators found 6.5 grams of fentanyl next to Davis.

A subsequent search of the home in the 1800 block of 13th Ave. E. Bradenton turned up cocaine, rock cocaine, fentanyl and a bag containing a mix of cocaine and fentanyl as well as the firearms and paraphernalia, according to the sheriff's office.

Henderson was charged with the sale of fentanyl and other offenses. Davis was charged with trafficking in fentanyl and other offenses.

Police said they recovered a total of 16.7 grams of cocaine, 22.3 grams of fentanyl, 5.4 grams of rock cocaine and 3.4 grams of a cocaine, fentanyl mix.
