East Bradenton Man Shot After Answering Door
Victim said a masked man attacked him when he stepped outside of his door.

An East Bradenton man was shot in the arm and hit in the back of his head after he stepped outside to see who rang his doorbell late Monday night, according to a Manatee County Sheriff's report.
The victim told deputies that someone rang his doorbell in the 3400 block of 27th Street Court East just after 10:30 p.m. Monday. When he answered the door no one was there, so he stepped outside to look around. Once he got outside, a masked man dressed all in black pointed a gun at him. The homeowner fought back, trying to get away from the man.
During the struggle, the victim was shot in his upper right arm. The assailant also hit him in the back of the head with the gun before running from the area.
