Chef Competition at Mattison's

Four of the area's top chefs will take part in the first Chef Competition, a benefit for the Women's Resource Center of Manatee.

will host the competition at 6 p.m. Tuesday, according to a news release. The participants are Alana Gerling of MartiniVille, Holmes Beach; Dave Shiplett of ; Gaetana (Guy) Cannata of ; and Greg Campbell of Mattison's.

Organizer Neal Finelli of "Taste" magazine said diners will vote in two categories, main entree and dessert.
