Renaissance on 9th 'Girls Night Out'

Renaissance on 9th is hosting a “Girls Night Out” event on Thursday, June 16 from 5 to 7 p.m. Ladies are invited for an evening of activities and services designed for women. They will be welcomed with a wine tasting by PRP Wines and then select from a variety of personal services, like micro-dermabrasion by Sondra George, chair massages from Montee Posey, Suzi’s mini-manicures or toning wraps, and make-up demonstrations by “Because You’re Beautiful.”

Options for “retail therapy” include exclusive discounts at Generations Gift Shop, great deals on children’s items from Gigi’s Closet, and unique jewelry from “A Touch of Everything.” Admission is free, though fees for services will apply.

Gourmet small plates prepared by Executive Chef Joe Stoddard may be purchased at the 9th Street Bistro within Renaissance on 9th. The dishes will be priced at $3, $5, or $7, and include grilled flatbread with Ancho chili hummus dip, a roasted pear salad, zesty gazpacho, Pan-Asian lettuce wraps, seared sea scallops, beef tenderloin, salmon filet and more. Beverages and wine by the glass will also be available for purchase.

“We really wanted to offer a special evening just for women at Renaissance on 9th,” said Manager Wendy Houston, “This gives them an opportunity to enjoy themselves and forget everyday worries, while seeing the versatility that this facility offers. And best of all, our services help support Meals on Wheels PLUS and The Food Bank of Manatee.”

Renaissance on 9th is located just south of Manatee Avenue West, near McKechnie Field.
