South Florida Museum Winter 2010 Camp

A Winter 2010 Camp: Pirates & Great Sailing Ships will be available for children currently enrolled in grades 2-5 during the winter school break,. This camp will concentrate on historical pirates who were in Florida's waters or used Florida as their home base during the early history of the state.

In addition, sailing vessels, their riggings, nautical instruments and navigation will be explored through hands-on activities and by utilizing the museum's historical exhibits and collections.

The five-day camp takes place from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. each day and costs $175 a session for museum members, $155 a session for each additional camper for museum members and $200 a session for non-members. Contact Jessica Schubick at 941-746-4131, ext. 27 to make winter camp reservations.
