Think + Drink (Science): What Was the Star of Bethlehem?

Join Howard Hochhalter for a seasonal think + drink and an astronomer's exploration of the question "What Was the Star of Bethlehem?" Using the planetarium's ability to travel through time and space, the program will transport you to Jerusalem 2,000 years ago to look at the skies the magi saw. Was the "star" a comet, a supernova or something else entirely? This special think + drink will also get you up to speed on the Winter Solstice and the Full Lunar Eclipse coming on December 21st.

think + drink (science) brings local scientists to the South Florida Museum for informative, informal discussions about all kinds of science in a comfortable, cafe setting. Enjoy a snack and a beer, glass of wine, or gourmet coffee. Or bring in dinner from one of our local restaurants. The event is held on the second Wednesday of every month and is a great new way to expand your horizons, make new friends and support the museum.

think + drink (science) is free, but the museum appreciates RSVPs.
