Fighting Crime Pairs Nicely with Valentines Day
Manatee Crimestoppers is offering a wine tasting event at the Bradenton Country Club to raise money for its programs.
Just in time for Valentine's Day Manatee CrimeStoppers is offering an irresistable pairing: Fighting Crime and Tasting Wine.
The organizations inaugural “Tasting Wine to Help Fight Crime” will be held at the on Feb. 11 at 7 p.m. The even features food and wine pairings from arounf the world.
Attendees will receive a passport for the 11 featured wine countries. They use the passport to visit "national stations" in the country club. PRP Wine Internation will supply the wine, while the country club's executive chef Ron Mazurek will prepare the food pairings.

Wines from the United States, Australia, Argentina, Chile, France, Germany, Italy, Hungary, Spain, South Africa, and Japan will be paired with menu items such as Chilean Sea Bass, Shrimp Choppino, Crab Ceviche, Argentinean Beef tenderloin, Macadamia and Mint jelly crusted Lamp Chops, Hungarian Goulash, German Sausages, Arroz con Pollo, cheeses, and desserts.
As a Valentine's treat every woman who attends will receive chocolates and a rose.

Tickets purchased by Friday are $100 per couple. Tables of 10 or more are available for $475. Ticket purchased after Friday will be $75 per person. For tickets or information call 792-2732.
