Fire Destroys Bradenton Mobile Home, Kills 2 Cats: Reports
A couple lost everything when a fire destroyed their mobile home and vehicle in Bradenton on Friday morning, reports said.
BRADENTON, FL — A fire destroyed a Bradenton mobile home early Friday morning, according to multiple reports.
The fire tore through the home in the Pine Haven community, which is at 6320 14th Street W., around 4:30 a.m., Tampa Free Press reported.
Crews from both Manatee County and Cedar Hammock Fire Rescue responded to the scene and controlled the fire out in about a half hour, reports said.

The mobile home's residents, Marilyn Dillon, and her boyfriend, Jim Everett, were sleeping when the blaze broke out, ABC 7 reported.
Everett, who is disabled, told the news outlet that his shirt caught fire and he had to crawl out of the home to safety.

Neither of the residents were injured in the fire, though they believe their two cats died, reports said.
The couple also lost everything in their home and their vehicle was destroyed.
The flames caused about $100,000 in damages to the mobile home, reports said.
