Fire Rips Through Bradenton Home
An early Tuesday morning fire on Sixth Street East left a home heavily damaged.

BRADENTON, FL — The Bradenton Fire Department is investigating an early Tuesday morning blaze that caused an estimated $30,000 in damage to a home on Sixth Street East.
According to the agency, crews were called out to a home in the 1000 block of Sixth Street East just after 6 a.m. May 9. When they arrived, firefighters found flames and smoke coming front of the home.

While the fire was deemed under control by 6:15 a.m., officials say the structure suffered extensive damage. The home’s occupants, three adults and two children, along with two pets, were safely evacuated before firefighters arrived, the agency noted in a Tuesday email to media.
The Red Cross was called in to assist the family.

The cause of the blaze remains unknown as an investigation continues.
