FL Ethics Investigation Launched Against Manatee Commissioner: Report
Manatee County Commission Chair Kevin Van Ostenbridge is accused of using a county-issued credit card to buy voter data, a report said.

MANATEE COUNTY, FL — The Florida Commission on Ethics is investigating allegations that Manatee County Commission Chair Kevin Van Ostenbridge used a county-issued credit card to buy voter data, The Bradenton Times reported.
The commission found “sufficient” cause to investigate the commissioner after a complaint filed in June accused him of misusing his public position to purchase voter data on more than 19,000 people in his district using a county-issued credit card.
The complaint alleges that the purchase was used for Van Ostenbridge’s personal or political benefit.
