Florida Maritime Museum Closing for Maintenance
The closure allows staff and volunteers to complete general maintenance and exhibit updates.

The Florida Maritime Museum (FMM) in Cortez will be temporarily closed to the public from Aug. 15 through Sept. 12. This closure will allow staff and volunteers to complete general maintenance and exhibit updates.
FMM apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause. Although the doors will be closed, staff inside will be hard at work and can be reached at (941) 708-6120 or at fmminfo@manateeclerk.com.

The museum will return to its regular business hours of Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 13. Admission is free, but donations are appreciated.
Visitors can also look forward to a new exhibit in the fall, “Shipwrecks: Legend and Lore,” and a full schedule of accompanying educational programs, classes and performances. The museum is located at 4415 119th St. West in Cortez.
