Florida Police Department: 'Have You Lost An Ear?'
One Florida police department took to social media with an unusual question and they got an answer.

HOLMES BEACH, FL — One Florida police department took to social media with an unusual question this week, and it didn't take long to find the answer.
"Have you lost an ear?" the Holmes Beach Police Department asked on Facebook.
Amid the usual wallets, sunglasses and car keys that turn up at the department's lost and found, officials came across a prosthetic ear, a left one to be precise.

Sgt. Brian Hall of the Holmes Beach Police Department said a woman from South Carolina called to say that the rubber ear belongs to her husband.
Hall said the Beaufort couple was vacationing in the Tampa Bay area when the man went swimming. His wife said he was trying to put the ear in his pocket for safekeeping when "a wave knocked it off his hand."
Prosthetic ears can cost thousands of dollars. Hall said the department will mail it to South Carolina.
"We will put it in box. I hope nobody sees it and freaks out," he said.
