Free On-Demand Ride Service Launches In Downtown Bradenton

Freebee Teslas offers riders an eco-friendly way to get around Bradenton's Community Redevelopment Area, including downtown.

BRADENTON, FL — Freebee Teslas recently launched a free, on-demand ride service in downtown Bradenton.

The new service is available within the city’s Community Redevelopment Area, Bradenton police wrote in a Facebook post.

Freebee operates during the following days and times:
  • Wednesday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Thursday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to midnight

Rides can be requested via the Freebee app.

The addition of this rideshare service is part of the city’s efforts “to develop itself as a livable, walkable area," Bradenton Vice-Mayor Marianne Barnebey said, according to ABC Action News.

The service, which utilizes electric Tesla vehicles, offers riders a sustainable and eco-friendly way to get around, according to the company’s website.

Freebee, which started in Miami, operates in more than 30 cities and business districts, most of them in Florida.
