Person Hit, Killed By Van On U.S. 41: FL Highway Patrol
A person was hit and killed by a van while crossing U.S. 41, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
MANATEE COUNTY, FL — A person crossing U.S. 41 was hit and killed Monday night by a passenger van, the Florida Highway Patrol said in a news release.
The van was heading south on U.S. 41 when the crash happened in the right lane around 9:15 p.m.
The person was standing on the western sidewalk when they walked into the U.S. 41 travel lanes and were hit by the van, FHP said.

The person was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash is under investigation.
