Free Eye Screenings Today
Prevent Blindness Florida and the Manatee County Health Department will provide the screenings free of charge with no appointment necessary.

The Manatee County Health Department is offering free vision screenings for children and adults until 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 18. No appointment necessary.
The health department is located at 410 6th Ave. E. Prevent Blindness Florida will conduct the free vision screenings. Those who do not pass the screening are referred to an eyecare professional for a complete eye examination.
Prevent Blindness Florida, a statewide eye health and
safety organization is dedicated to preventing blindness and preserving sight through public health education, vision screenings, and research. The organization may be able to assist individuals who qualify financially to obtain free examinations and eyeglasses.
