Free Ride Was a Bad Move as Teen Reports Carjacking
Mississippi 19-year-old visiting Bradenton says he was a carjacking victim after giving a ride to two strangers.
Deputies are searching for two men suspected of carjacking a 19-year-old from Misssissippi after the teenager gave them a ride to east Bradenton.
Bao Viet Vu, 19, was at a friend's apartment over the weekend when two men he didn't know approached him and asked him for a ride to Eighth Street Court East, according to a sheriff's report.
When the trio got to the area, Vu told authorities, the two men got out of the vehicle and walked behind a duplex on the street. They quickly returned, one man carrying a shotgun, and pointed the gun at Vu and told him to get out of the vehicle.

The pair took the vehicle and drove off, according to the report.
