Frozen Yogurt Deals
Menchie's celebrates the opening of its new location in the River Club Plaza with frozen yogurt deals and other specials through Friday. Check the Patch announcement for details.Bradenton Marauders Honor Carl Weeks

Head to McKechnie Field Tuesday night as the Bradenton Marauders take on the Blue Jays. Carl Weeks, the retiring President of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Manatee County will be honored for his 42 years of dedicated service to children and families in our community.
Boys & Girls Club Kids will sing the national anthem and Weeks will throw out the first pitch. A portion of the ticket sales will benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Manatee County. Read more details in the Patch event listing.
Blood Drive at the Humane Society
A Blood Mobile will be at the Humane Society of Manatee County Thursday. Everyone who gives blood, will get a free spay/neuter voucher for their dog or cat. Check the Patch event listing for blood drive details.
School supplies and gently used kids clothes are being collected to help Manatee County children through Turning Points.
Supplies will be collected for kids of all ages through Aug. 12 at the Barefoot Tiki Bar on Holmes Beach or at Turning Points in Bradenton. Check the Patch announcement for details.
While the weather from Tropical Storm Dorian is still a bit of a wild card, the week’s weather forecast is shaping up. Highs will be in the upper 80s and low 90s. Our chance of rain from Tuesday through the rest of the week is about 30 percent.
