When/Where: Saturday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. downtown along Barcarrota Boulevard and the riverfront.
Why go? The Rotary Club of West Bradenton will host the 25th Annual Taste of Manatee. Sample fare from some of the city's best restaurants while enjoying music and entertainment along the riverfront. Arts and crafts, children's stages, ice carving and more. It all benefits local charities, including Shelter Box, Hope Family Services, the , the American Cancer Society, , , Big Brothers/Big Sisters and Our Daily Bread.
Pricing: Admission is Free! But all sales benefit charities.

When/Where: Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. at
Why go? State College of Florida's Music Theatre Ensemble presents the rock-and-roll hit, "Bye, Bye Birdie." Based on a book by Michael Stewart, the musical includes lyrics by Lee Adams and music by Charles Strouse. The show is a satire about an Elvis-like superstar, Conrad Birdie. When Birdie receives his draft notice from the U.S. Army, a publicity stunt to send him off with a kiss from one lucky female fan creates havoc. Patrons will be greeted by SCF Collegiate School students in classic 1950s cars one hour prior to each show.
Pricing: General Admission: $12. Students and SCF employees: $6.
When/Where: Friday, 6:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. and Saturday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Why go? The Day of the Dead-style event features a large community shrine, individual shrines and altars, an interactive memorial fence, Mexican music and food and unique painted skeletons throughout the Village.
