Why go? The County is hosting the 9th Annual Goblin Gathering as a safe alternative for children to trick or treating. Bring the entire family. There will be a costume contest, face painting, hayride, bounce houses, and 18-foot inflatable slide. Several local businesses will pass out “treats & sweets” to children. Concessions will be available for sale.

MAKING STRIDE AGAINST BREAST CANCER
When/Where: Saturday 7:30 a.m. registration. Walk begins at 9 a.m. Sarasota Polo Club.
Why go? Where else can you walk around in a pink bra, bejeweled if you like, and be seen as a hero. This is an opportunity to raise money for the American Cancer Society's fight against breast cancer. The walk has already raised more than $180,000 from this area. Pricing: Registration is free, but a $35 donation will make a difference for the cause.

Why go? As part of Festival sARTee, ArtCenter Manatee offers ArtCenter LIVE!, an outdoor event for all ages. Local live graffiti artist “Cheeta” Chad Ruis and Cocoa Beach based aerosol artist Morgan Wilson will paint oversized pieces live. “Cheeta” Chad brings it with his surf/graffiti inspired “Cheetastyle” while classically trained Morgan shows off her skills with “Graphotos”, large scale murals in spray paint. In classic Halloween spirit, a mask-making workshop will run throughout the day to keep it spooky. Get into the groove with live bands, local vendors and the ArtCenter grillin‘ burgers and dogs to satiate the artsy appetites.
