When/Where: Friday and Saturday at The Village of the Arts. The walk will take place from 6-9:30 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.

Why go?  The Manatee Players reprise this show set in prohibition era Chicago, a satire on corruption in the administration of criminal justice, and the concept of the "celebrity criminal." The original show, debuted in 1975, recorded 936 performances on Broadway, and the 1996 revival maintains the record for the longest running musical revival on a Broadway stage. The musical is based on a 1926 play of the same name by reporter Maurine Dallas Watkins about actual criminals and crimes she had reported on during her tenure as a reporter. Why go? Katie Adams will perform Johnny Appleseed in the Bishop Planetarium Theater at 5:10 p.m. Enjoy theme related crafts and activities in the planetarium lobby from 4-7 p.m. and planetarium shows all evening: Live Star Talk at 7 p.m., Two Small Pieces of Glass at 7:30 p.m., Rock and Roll Hall of Fame at 8:15 p.m. Manatee presentations in the aquarium at 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
Pricing: Admission is half price after 4 p.m. $8 for adults, $6 for children ages 4-12. Children ages 3 and younger are free.  Members of the Museum Friends program receive free admission.
