When/Where: Friday and Saturday 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Manatee Village Historical Park, 1404 Manatee Avenue East.
Why go? The Manatee County Historical Commission is hosting auditions for actors and actresses to volunteer for a dramatic guided cemetery tour titled “Spirit Voices from Old Manatee”. The production will be directed by professional actor, musician and stage director Preston Boyd. “Spirit Voices from Old Manatee” is an original artistic production and program of Festival sARTée. It will take place at Manatee Village Historical Park and the Old 1850 Manatee Burying Grounds on Saturday, October 22, 2011. Costumed thespians will personify those interred through graveside dialogue based on narratives from archives, descendants, dairies, military logs, books and legend. Good vocal projection, animation, personality, improvisation skills and commitment are desired. Experience in outdoor drama and interest in local history is a plus.

When/Where: Saturday from 9 a.m. until noon in at the area near the 51st Street West entrance.
Why go? Health Occupations Students of America club want to warn students about the dangers of performance-enhancing drugs. Because athletes at all levels are making poor decisions to take such drugs to gain an “edge." Parents, athletes and sports fans, are invited to listen to successful athletes speak about their paths to greatness through proper nutrition, proper rest, and hard work. Afterward the students from King Middle will lead a one-mile walk through the park.

When/Where: Riders should gather at the parking lot, 600 301 Blvd. St. before 9:30 a.m. on Sunday. Memorial at Coquina Beach, 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Why go? The fully-escorted ride leaves from the sheriff's office parking lot and will travel to Coquina Beach for a short memorial ceremony. Members of the public are encouraged to sit along the route and cheer the bikers on. All motorcyclists are welcome to participate. The public is invited to attend the memorial ceremony at Coquina Beach as well.
