Hit-And-Run Driver Ran Over Person Lying In Street: FL Highway Patrol

Investigators are looking for a hit-and-run driver who critically injured a Bradenton man earlier this month, FL Highway Patrol said.

BRADENTON, FL — Investigators are seeking information about a Sept. 2 hit-and-run crash that left a 49-year-old Bradenton man critically injured, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.

He was possibly lying in the travel lane of the 5100 block of U.S. Highway 41 at the time of the crash, just before 4 a.m.

The unknown vehicle hit the man and then left the scene, FHP said.

He was brought to an area hospital with critical injuries.

Anyone with information regarding this crash or the vehicle involved is asked to call *FHP or Manatee County Crime Stoppers.
