Homicide Investigated in West Bradenton

Deputies are investigating an apparent homicide after finding a 60-year-old man dead inside a Bradenton home.

Manatee County Sheriff's Office deputies went to the home in the 3500 block of 20th Street West on Friday afternoon after someone called dispatchers saying that the door to the house was open. Deputies tried to contact the occupant of the residence but got no response.

They found the man inside just before 2:30 p.m. with apparent trauma to his body. Deputies say the man has not been positively identified.
