UPDATE: Bones Found at Bradenton Apartments Were From Animal
A woman reported finding what appear to be several vertebrae outside a Dumpster on Sunday night, the Manatee County Sheriff's Office reports.

Updated, 1:35 p.m.:
The bones found outside a Bradenton apartment complex are from an animal, the Manatee County Sheriff's Office said Monday.
The sheriff's office had initially reported that they may be veterbrae from a human.

Authorities are investigating after a Bradenton woman reported finding human bones scattered outside a Dumpster at an apartment complex.

The woman was taking out the trash at The Vista at Palma Sola, 3914 75th St. W., around 8:30 p.m. Sunday when she noticed what appeared to be several small bones scattered on the ground, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
"The bones appear to be vertebrae," a sheriff's office spokesperson said in a media release.
Investigators were called in to collect the bones.
No further information was immediately available.
