Ice Cream Man Accused of Sexually Assaulting 7-Year-Old Girl
Bernardo Salinas, 66, was arrested Sunday night and charged with capital sexual battery.

BRADENTON, FL - An ice cream man is accused of sexually assaulting a 7-year-old girl after selling her ice cream, Manatee County sheriff's detectives said. Bernardo Salinas, 66, was arrested Sunday night and charged with capital sexual battery.
Salinas, who lives in the same neighborhood as the victim, sells ice cream from a cart, according to an arrest report. But detectives said children frequently go to his home to buy ice cream.
On Sunday, detectives say he sold ice cream to the 7-year-old victim and her 8-year-old brother, the Bradenton Herald reported. He then told the boy to go outside and play. Salinas then took the girl to his bedroom, locked the door and sexually assaulted her, according to an arrest report. Salinas has denied the allegations.
