Juveniles Arrested After Allegedly Breaking Into Brown's Grove Market

The market was already under surveillance after three recent burglaries there.

Two juveniles were arrested on March 28, after deputies say they burglarized Brown's Grove Farm Market, at 12255 U.S. 301, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

Investigators already were conducting surveillance at that location after receiving three other complaints of burglaries at that business.

At about 1:30 a.m. March 28, detectives saw a red vehicle park just north of the business, on U.S. 301. Two suspects left the car and wlked to the south side of the market, where they climbed up wooden slates and gained entry to the market.

Additional patrol units were called to the scene and established a perimeter within 10 minutes while the two suspects were still inside.

When the pair exited, detectives attempted to make arrests. Both juveniles ran in an open field and tried to hide under a tree and abandon the stolen items. One juvenile surrendered but the other fled. When the suspect tried to scale a fence, an officer used a taser to subdue him. Both subjects were taken to the Juvenile Booking Facility and charged with burglary.
