Man, Bichon Dog Missing In Manatee County: Sheriff’s Office

An 87-year-old man and Sassy, his Bichon dog, were last seen Tuesday at their Ellenton home, the Manatee County Sheriff's Office said.

ELLENTON, FL — Deputies are looking for a missing 87-year-old man who drove away from his Ellenton home with Sassy, his white Bichon dog, on Tuesday, according to a Manatee County Sheriff’s Office news release.

Paul Sargent, whose home is in the 5900 block of 31st Court East, has medical conditions and could be disoriented.

His family said he often drives around with Sassy, the sheriff’s office said.

The last known location of his 2001 silver Lincoln LS with the Florida tag that reads LTCOLS was near the intersection of State Road 62 and Corbett John Road in Parrish on Tuesday around 1:30 p.m.

Sargent has grey hair, blue/hazel eyes, is 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a navy blue shirt and dark grey shoes.
