Man Carrying Shotgun Fired at Cars and a House in Bradenton Neighborhood

A nearby resident reports hearing gunfire coming from two groups. No one was injured.

A man carrying a shotgun shot at three parked cars along the 1600 block of 27th Avenue east early this morning, according to a Manatee County Sheriff's report.

Two men who were leaning against one of the vehicles at around 3:15 a.m. when the man carrying the shotgun approached them and began shooting the car as well as two others nearby.

The men were not injured during the shooting and told deputites that they ran when the shooting started. In addition to damagin three cars, the shooter hit the corner of a house.

Deputies interviewed others in the neighborhood and one witness said it sounded like two groups of people were shooting before one group drove off in a car.

Deputies checked with local hospitals to determine whether anyone had come in with a gun shot wound. There were no reports of any shooting victims and deputies could not find another car that has been involved in the incident.
