Man Runs Over Another Customer At Gas Station: Bradenton Police
After a fight at a Marathon gas station in Bradenton, a man ran over another customer, breaking his leg, police said.

BRADENTON, FL — A fight in a gas station parking lot overnight Wednesday sent one man to the hospital and landed another in jail, according to a Bradenton Police Department news release.
Officers responded to reports of a disturbance at the Marathon gas station in the 2000 block of 14th Street W. just after 7:30 p.m.
Witnesses said that a customer, later identified as Peter Sampson, 51, ran over another customer with his vehicle, police said.

Investigators learned that Sampson and the victim, who arrived at the gas station separately, got into an argument inside the store and continued to fight in the parking lot.
Sampson got a hatchet from his car and threatened the victim, police said. He then got into his car and hit the victim before driving away.

The victim was injured in the attack, including suffering a broken leg.
The BPD Crime Reduction Team identified the driver as Sampson, who was arrested Thursday morning.
He was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and leaving the scene of a crash involving serious bodily injury.
