Man Shot Brother Who Stabbed His Girlfriend At FL Home
A man was shot by his brother after stabbing his sibling's girlfriend at a Bradenton home, the Manatee County Sheriff's Office said.
BRADENTON, FL — Detectives are investigating after a man shot his brother, who stabbed his girlfriend Tuesday morning at a Bradenton home, the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
Deputies responded to a home in the 5200 block of 60th Drive E., in the Silver Lake neighborhood, around 8 a.m.
They found 21-year-old Dakota Hayes outside the home with two gunshot wounds, the sheriff’s office said.

As deputies approached the home, 24-year-old Willie Hayes, came outside and told them that he shot his brother after seeing Dakota stab his girlfriend.

When they went into the home, deputies found a 23-year-old woman in a bedroom with multiple stab wounds, SCSO said.
Both the woman and Dakota were brought to Sarasota Memorial Hospital. They remain hospitalized but are both expected to survive, the sheriff’s office said.
The motive behind the incident is unclear, according to investigators.
