"Deputies began following the vehicle south on 1st Street near MLK Blvd. and initiated a traffic stop," Warren explained. "The driver later identified as Artavius Jamaal Foresyth, failed to stop -- maneuvering through traffic and fleeing from patrol units in the stolen vehicle."
Warren said that deputies backed off and allowed the air unit to continue the chase from overhead as the SUV traveled south on 1st Street West.
"Moments later, the stolen vehicle crashed into a truck stopped for a red light," Warren said. The crash occurred at 26th Ave W and 1st Street.
"The stolen vehicle then rolled up into the parking lot at Firkins Automotive and the driver fled on foot," Warren added.
The K-9 found Foresyth hiding under a vehicle in the rear of the dealership parking lot.
