BRADENTON, FL —Mechanics Christopher Osborne and Christopher Underwood with the Manatee County Sheriff's Office have been named employees of the month for July.

"Over the past few months, the Fleet Department had been trying to fix an electrical issue on numerous patrol vehicles," explained a spokesperson for the sheriff's office. "Fleet decided to remove the vehicles from service until an appropriate diagnosis and repair was made."

Based on the issues being reported, Osborne and Underwood suspected it was an electrical issue since numerous systems were affected at the same time.
