Manatee Politician Tests Positive For COVID-19, Self-Quarantines
Manatee County Commissioner Misty Servia tested positive for COVID-19 Tuesday, encourages masks, vaccine.
MANATEE COUNTY, FL — Manatee County Commissioner Misty Servia tested positive for coronavirus Tuesday and will self-quarantine for 10 days according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines, she shared to her Facebook page.
“I tested positive for Covid-19 today,” she wrote. “I’m feeling well and wanted to take this opportunity to encourage everyone to wear a mask - which protects others. I will isolate at home for 10-days per the CDC guidelines.”

Servia also encouraged residents to register for the COVID-19 vaccine and shared where they can get tested for the virus.
