Manatee's "Movie Star" Gets Spot on Menu

Sarasota and Manatee foodies who are curious to sample the meals that Euphemia Haye's sous chef Jamie Gregorich creates each week on Hell's Kitchen will get that chance for as long a Gregorich remains on the show.

Euphemia Haye has added "Jamie's Hell's Kitchen" specials to the menu. Each week, Euphemia's daily specials will include dishes inspired by ones that Jamie created on the week's show.

Gregorich has even agreed to make her own featured appearances in the restaurant's dining room for those who want to meet the show's contestant. While she is most comfortable in the kitchen, she is taking the spotlight in stride. "Sure, I'll be the movie star," she joked with her co-workers at the restaurant.

And her co-workers are enjoying the excitement around her star performance as well.

Mark Keckstein, the Chef Du Cuisine, promised to keep things running smoothly when Gregorich gets called out to the dining room.

"I think she should enjoy what she's accomplished," he said. "She should flaunt it."

Of course diners shouldn't expect Gregorich, who graduated from , to spll any secrets from the show. She is under contract to keep mum about the results.

Currently, Jamie's "Signature Dish" of Lamb Lollipops prepared in the first episode of Hell's Kitchen is featured on the daily specials menu.

"I'm excited," she said. "Any chef gets excited when their dish gets put on the menu."

The lamb chop lollipops are seared in rosemary oil and accompanied by a red onion confiture atop a carrot, potato and bleu cheese au gratin. Chef Ray Arpke, Euphemia Haye's owner and executive chef, is quite fond of Jamie's Signature Dish.

"It's my favorite way to eat lamb," he said. "The blue cheese au gratin and the red onion are delicious as well. When you get a mouthful of the lamb with all of the accompaniments, it's like heaven."
