Bradenton Police say a man reported missing was found Monday morning with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

BRADENTON, FL — The search for a man reported missing and endangered in Bradenton ended Monday morning at a motel. Police say Kahlil Mustafa Graves, 46, was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Graves was taken to a local hospital after police found him at the Baxter Motel on 14th Street, the agency wrote in a Monday morning email to media. He was in critical condition at last report.

The search for Graves was announced Sunday evening. Police say Graves was last seen by his father on Dec. 30. Graves “left a suicide note at his home” before leaving on a gray-and-red mountain bike, the agency’s email said. Graves also allegedly stole several items from his father’s home, including a loaded Taurus Tracker .357.
