Motorcyclist Critically Injured In Manatee County Crash: FL Highway Patrol
A Parrish man was critically injured when his motorcycle hit a car that drove into his path, Florida Highway Patrol said.
MANATEE COUNTY, FL — A motorcyclist was critically injured in a Sunday afternoon crash with a Toyota Corolla in Manatee County, the Florida Highway Patrol said in a news release.
The car was heading west in the outside travel lane of State Road 64, approaching the intersection with River Heritage Boulevard, around 4:30 p.m.
At the same time, the motorcyclist, a 28-year-old Parrish man, was stopped facing east on S.R. 64 in the left turn lane at the intersection.

The car’s driver, a 75-year-old Bradenton woman, continued driving forward into the path of the motorcycle, FHP said.
The motorcyclist unsuccessfully tried to avoid the collision and hit the right side of the car, troopers said.

He was flown to Blake Hospital in critical condition by a Bayflite helicopter.
The car’s driver and passenger, a 73-year-old Bradenton man, suffered minor injuries in the crash.
