Motorcyclist Dies When Bradenton Driver Turns In Front Of Bike: FHP
A Bradenton woman turned left in the path of an oncoming motorcycle, leading to a fatal crash Friday, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
BRADENTON, FL — A Bradenton woman turned her SUV into the path of an oncoming motorcycle, leading to a fatal crash Friday, the Florida Highway Patrol said. The woman and her child were not seriously hurt, but the biker died.
Authorities have not released the names of either driver. The 25-year-old SUV driver suffered minor injuries, an FHP accident report said, while her 3-year-old child was not hurt.
The accident happened about 4:42 p.m. Friday when the woman was driving west on State Road 70 approaching 52nd Avenue Terrace West. At the same time, a 59-year-old Bradenton man on a motorcycle was eastbound on SR-70 approaching the intersection, according to troopers.

The SUV driver turned left into the path of the motorcyclist, who collided with the woman’s vehicle, the highway patrol said. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead on the scene.
The crash is still under investigation.
