National Crime Victim Rights Week Approaching

Every 26 seconds, a person in the United States becomes a victim of a violent crime. On April 4, 7 p.m. there will be a candlelight vigil.

From Manatee County Victims' Rights Council: Come Join Manatee Victim Rights Council as we honor the Crime Victims in Manatee County and Celebrate the strives made for Victims’ rights in the Justice System, as we host the 32nd Annual candlelight vigil.

Chief Melanie Bevan of Bradenton PD

In commemoration for the fallen and wounded Officers throughout the US.

Kim Donatelle will be the Keynote Speaker on behalf of all crime victims.

“Our organization is one of 82 Community Awareness Project programs that were funded for 2017, out of 221 applications that were received by NAVAA.” “We are honored to be a 2017 Community Awareness Project supported by the U.S. Department of Justice Office for Victims of Crime, and to be able to partner with many people and organizations who are committed to assisting crime victims and survivors, and raising community awareness about victims’ needs and how we can join together to meet those needs.”
