Pedestrian Seriously Injured In Bradenton Crash
An 18-year-old man was seriously injured in a Tuesday morning crash on 53rd Avenue West.

BRADENTON, FL — An 18-year-old Bradenton man suffered serious injuries in a Tuesday morning crash that occurred near Bayshore High School.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Linda Grayston, 68, of Dunedin was driving a Hyundai Accent east on 53rd Avenue West around 7:20 a.m. April 11. As Grayston approached the intersection with 34th Street West, troopers say Lauren Francis ran southbound across 53rd Avenue West.
Francis, a highway patrol report said, ran from north to south, outside of a marked crosswalk, into the path of Grayston’s oncoming car. The car struck Francis, who was thrown onto the hood and windshield, the report noted.

Francis was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.
Grayston faces no charges in the crash as troopers say Francis failed to cross within the crosswalk.
