Quran Burning Pastor Relocating to Manatee County

Would you be OK with a church in your community putting up a sign like this? The sign used to be posted in a north Florida neighborhood, but now the church responsible for putting it there is coming to Manatee County.

The anti-Muslim Florida Pastor who gained national attention in 2011 after he burned a Quran is opening a church and boarding school in Manatee County.

Rev. Terry Jones will move his Dove World Outreach Center to a six-acre site in East Manatee County on the 17200 block of Waterline Road, by the end of this year, according to an article in the Sarasota Herald Tribune, by Shelby Webb.

Hillary Clinton, former U.S. Secretary of State, said at the time of the burning: “It’s regrettable that a pastor in Gainesville, Florida with a church of no more than 50 people can make this outrageous and distressful, disgraceful plan and get, you know, the world’s attention,” the article said.
