Bagel Shop Opens Second Sarasota Location
Brooklyn Bagels & Deli has opened a second location on Cattlemen Road in Sarasota. It moved into the space previously occupied by Angelo’s Limoncello Bistro, according to the Sarasota Herald-Tribune.

The kitchen was completely renovated before the bagel shop, which serves breakfast and lunch and to-go deli items, moved in.
“We felt there was a need for a place like this on the east side of Sarasota,” said owner Nicholas Mavrikas. “We feel like we have great products, so we took the opportunity to open here, and we hope to have more places like it in the future.”

The bagel shop’s original location is located on Beneva Road.
University Town Center Area Welcomes Crumbl Cookies
Crumbl Cookies, a national cookie chain, opened its doors in the University Town Center area on Feb. 11.
The gourmet cookie shop, located at 215 N. Cattlemen Road in Sarasota, offers unique cookie flavors available by take-out, curbside pick-up or delivery. Its menu rotates weekly with four different specialty cookies offered in addition to the brand’s popular milk chocolate and chilled sugar cookies.
Tampa Brewery Opens Bradenton Taproom
Magnanimous Brewing, based in Tampa, opened a new location in Bradenton on Friday. The brewery took over the space previously occupied by Darwin Brewing Company across from LECOM Park.
“This…is a huge moment for us and we want y'all to be there with us to celebrate the Magnanatee tasting room and brewery,” Magnanimous posted on its Facebook page.
Coffee Shop with Walk-Up Window Opens in Downtown Bradenton
Kefi Streetside Café, which opened in November, serves coffee and a seasonal Mediterranean-inspired food menu.
Customers place their orders through a former bank teller window, according to the Bradenton Herald. The space was previously home to a bank and another coffeeshop, Teller’s, which converted the location into a café.
New Bradenton Bagel Shop Opens
A new bagel shop, Jersey Girl Bagels, has opened in Bradenton at 5275 University Parkway.
According to the shop’s Facebook page, the owner, a New Jersey native, has missed authentic N.J. and New York bagels while living in Florida.
“Until now!” she wrote. “My bagels are scratch made with special filtered water, boiled and stone baked. Always made fresh daily!”
The shop opened on Feb. 17.
